Byrd & Byrd, LLP is a locally owned general practice law firm serving clients in North Florida. Combining a unique blend of skills, Terry and Connie Byrd assist individuals in accident and injury recovery, workers compensation, family and juvenile law, and estate planning and probate. The firm opened for business in 1998 when Terry left a ten year legal career practicing insurance defense with a larger firm to open his own practice representing individuals injured in accidents or on the job. In 2003 his wife, Connie, left her practice as a Florida CPA serving small businesses and joined Terry as his practice administrator and accountant. Connie returned to school for her law degree, and joined the firm as an attorney upon graduation in 2009.

Terry L. Byrd has been practicing law in the Jacksonville area since 1989. He obtained a Bachelors of Science degree from Florida State University in 1978, majoring in Finance and Real Estate. He worked in the business and insurance industry until 1985 when he decided to return to school to obtain his Juris Doctorate from the University of Toledo. After graduating with honors, he was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1989. Upon graduation, Terry returned to Jacksonville, Florida, where he practiced as a defense attorney, primarily representing insurance carriers. In 1998, he opened his own law firm representing individuals and small businesses. He brings a unique blend of business and insurance experience to his law practice as well as extensive experience in both jury and non-jury trials. Terry practices before all Florida courts as well as the United States Federal District Court, Middle District.
Connie J. Byrd joined the firm in 2009 after obtaining her law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law, where she graduated with honors. She was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2009 and practices before all Florida courts. She is also admitted to practice before the United States Federal Court, Middle District. In addition to her law degree, Connie holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting and a Masters of Business Administration, both from the University of North Florida and is also a Florida Certified Public Accountant, which allows her to bring an exceptional background in business and family planning to her practice. She has worked for more than twenty years in individual and small business planning, state and federal taxation, and corporate planning and finance. She obtained Certificate in Family Law from Florida Coastal School of Law, and graduated with pro bono honors, primarily for her volunteer work on behalf of families and children.
